Quite by accident, I happened to see a glimpse of this tall ship on the internet via a facebook post. I began searching for more information because I was so curious. Here you can see it coming under the bridge to Canada in the St. Lawrence River. The ship was built in 2012 and this year it began it's voyage April 24th in Norway. They sailed across the north atlantic to Greenland and then to New Foundland. I was able to see the ship in Brockville, Ontario. I was more than thrilled to see this amazing vessel and even visit with various crew members while I was there. For the life of me I still can't figure out how and why something so incredibly wonderful was not publisized more so that everyone would be more aware of this amazing undertaking. The ship will go to Deluth and then come back to Oswego, sail through the canal system of New York and down to NYC. It will winter in Mystic Seaport in CT. You can find them on facebook and there are lots of amazing videos on youtube as well. Absolutely worth checking out!
How to pronounce the name of the ship.
