I realized today that it has been a while since I last posted a blog. Spring has been super busy this year! In mid March, I sent both tillers out to be repaired to try to get a jump on the season. It's been very rainy and when it hasn't been raining, it's been very windy. Needless to say, the outside work has been somewhat slow. Before I get into too much more about the spring though, I need to tell you about the ground hog.
Last year in early summer, this tiny creature appeared in my back yard. I wasn't quite sure what it was. After some research I found it was a baby ground hog. I marveled at it's cuteness and took countless photos of this adorable creature. Soon after arrival, it climbed up into my wood pile. (I'm assuming it was from fear of my dog Latte) At any rate, she knocked over a huge section of the woodpile which I had to stack all over again! This was the first of many aggravations I would endure from this adorable creature.
For the most part, the groundhog hung out under the wood pile and left to come out and eat grass several times a day. She wasn't destructive or anything at all. The dogs would go out and she'd run under the wood pile. She ventured to the back stoop a few times and wandered about the yard on occasion. Fall and winter came and she disappeared. I assumed she was hibernating. And, so ended the season. To be continued......
